THE CONCEPT OF YOGA


Yoga means the union of mind body and soul with the cosmic power called God. Whoever eat develop a body and a body develop a mind. Every mind goes on developing on and on till it attain the capacity to realise the absolute truth and being. This process of development of mind involves an unbiased mentality and for that the CHIT HAS TO NEGATE VARIOUS PROCESSES OF MIND. Chit is a personality called self of every individual having different traits. The CHIT seeks proof, it estimates, imagine false alternatives, sleep and have memory.

These three tendencies of Chit are to abolished or negated to attain the state of samadhi, through concentration by choosing an object and that is the God.

The process have other five tools which create a state of mind that influences CHIT and help union with omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent.

The other tools of yoga including PRANAYAM is a life style and not just difficult posture of yoga, which are good for health. They are termed as, Yama, Niyama, Asaana, Pranayam and Pratayahar.

The entire exercise is to control the five senses through the power of mind. And as a matter of fact ,a person choosing a profession and concentrating on it with full dedication is also a type of SAMADHI or union with the object of his choice.
